Finished Lorn's Lure
Excellent game. Really good first-person platformer. Final level was maybe a bit much (lot of "fuck you" moments and some parts of the level are annoyingly hard to traipse quickly like I'm supposed to), but great otherwise.
Didn't expect it to lessen the focus of the pickaxes over time. Figured those were going to be the focus of the game, but it trends more toward navigation via wall jumps and air-dashes. Not a bad thing! The jumps feel good and the momentum you can build is fun and the levels really lean into that. Frankly forgot I could use the pickaxes sometimes. The game quickly conditioned me be less reliant on them after the second level. Really leans harder into the precision platforming from then on. Not a bad thing! Just unexpected.
Tempted to go through some of the levels again now that I have the full set of abilities. There were plenty of crystals I couldn't grab first time through...
